Composing Workshop by Noteflight

Postby Anne Elder » Thu Oct 06, 2016 5:32 pm

Hi all,
from one of my semi-spam mails ... -workshop/

Free Online Composer's Workshop

Noteflight is partnering with the $99 Orchestra and professional composers from around the world to offer a Free Online Composer’s Workshop! Six world-class composers will share their experiences and demonstrate the fundamental skills needed to write a piece of music, then Noteflight users will interact and share music with others inside a private Noteflight Group as well as receive feedback on compositions. Also, participants can win a free orchestral recording session with top-level musicians in London!

When: October 17th-November 21st
Cost: Free for any Noteflight member
Level: Any level of composer will benefit
Topics: Film Scoring, Songwriting, Contemporary, Jazz, Video-Game music, and more

Participating Composers:
David Benoit
Miho Hazama
Tammy Weis
Mark Suozzo
Deane Ogden
YK Jung

Lot's of new stuff out there recently and finally more about music. Don't know yet if I take part, but I'll register (and probably get even more (semi)spam mails).

Registering at Noteflight is free, but they also have a paid membership. I'll see if the workshop is also free when you're not paying for Noteflight.

Sounds too deep for me, one guitar is difficult enough without getting into orchestration. :D

I think it's the sort of thing "Nita" would be interested in. Since she has not been around for a while maybe you could PM her?

It could combine well with the sound engineering so I'll be interested to see how you get on with it,
